District 42 is the remainder of an old neighborhood known for the many little shops and izakayas. A place where you can wander through tiny alleys or upwards for a good view over the area for hours and days. At night, hundreds of signs and lights brighten the dark in a city that never sleeps...

In Stacked: Japan I draw imaginary cityscapes that contrast traditional japanese architecture, futuristic buildings and technology that create a detailed micro-world with different areas to explore on your own.
I started this art series in late 2025 inspired by the contrast of traditional and modern japanese architecture that I could experience on a trip to Japan earlier this year.
