This drawing was painted with black ink and aquarelle inside my travel-sketchbook documenting a trip to Japan in early 2025. This is a printed reproduction.
Motive
Inside the Senso-ji Temple area, the "Asakusa Pagoda" stands tall beside the main hall, adding an elegant touch to Tokyo’s oldest temple site. The five-story pagoda was originally built in the 10th century and rebuilt after World War II, now housing sacred relics of the Buddha. Its red structure and layered roofs make it one of the most photographed spots in Asakusa, perfectly blending calm tradition with the lively atmosphere of the temple grounds.
These prints are scans from my sketchbook, created during and after an unforgettable trip to Japan in early 2025. I collected “Eki Stamps” from various train stations in the sketchbook and decided to illustrate some of the most beautiful landmarks, turning the pages into a visual journal to preserve the wonderful memories of that journey.
Material
This edition is printed with high quality ink on 300gsm textured paper and every print is handsigned, titled and signed by me on the back.
Details
For my prints I use quality materials (color, paper, etc.) to ensure the best longevity of the artwork.
Nonetheless, please note that exposure to a lot of sunlight might harm the artwork over time.
A frame with UV-protective glass is recommended and can protect the artwork against fading or discoloration over time. Anti-reflective glass can greatly improve visibility in most lighting situations.
